I think everyone in the country has today off but me. At least that's what it feels like! I had two cancellations today which makes this much easier, but it still stinks to work.
Had a great weekend, it was another beautiful weather weekend. On Friday I went to bed so early, I think 10pm. I had a 14-mile run on Saturday that I was really nervous about. The run was in Mill Valley, the site of last season's awful run. This one wasn't too bad, but again I should have stopped 2 miles earlier than I did. The last two miles were really hard and my IT was hurting bad. I'm not sure if it was because of my new shoes or the hard hills we had.
When I came home, Greg had the kitchen all cleaned up and it looked great. Our kitchen gets really disastrous during the week and he is really nice to clean it up on Saturdays. I also had a beautiful bouquet of flowers waiting for me. Because it was sunny out we spent sometime up on the roof drinking mimosas and reading. We went to our friend Heather and Erik's house for a yummy dinner and hockey watching, much to the girls' chagrin. It's great to have friends who live very close where you don't have to drive or take a cab to their place.
Sunday was mellow. I got an awesome massage from Rachel that I think really healed my sore legs. Greg got us some Ike's sandwiches and man do I love that place!! I do think they have skimped a little bit and their sandwiches have gotten significantly smaller. I used to be stuffed to the max after eating just 1/2, but not so much anymore. THey're still great though. The weather wasn't as nice as Sat, so we stayed in and watched football. Then we went to see Slumdog Millionaire. It's as good as everyone says. I don't think I've seen a movie where I've been as captivated the whole time as this one. There were really no slow, boring meaningless parts. And the ending was really good. I think this will be a movie I'll have to buy when it comes out on DVD.
And now I have to work. Greg gets another beautiful day off. Boo!
