UPDATE 2. I still haven't been called and it's after lunch. Ugh, I hope this gets over soon.
I just pulled these out of an old blog and realized that I didn't revisit them to see how I did. These were my New Years resolutions of 2008....how did i do??
- New Years resolutions
* Be more conscientious of what I choose to eat and drink, and try to plan meals ahead so that I don't eat out as much ......mmmm...I'd give myself a B- on this one. I think I still ate out quite a bit but certainly not as bad as before. And I think I really improved on this goal towards the later end of the year
* Think twice about impulse buys and apply the art of "delayed gratification".....mmm....I'll say a B. I think the amount of crazy expensive clothes-buying days have really reduced, but I still kinda do some impulse buying. And again, I got better towards the end of the year. * Try to track my finances so I actually figure out where my money is going. I may or may not save but perhaps visually seeing $100/month wasted on scones and coffee will deter me from spending it....I will give myself a C on this one. I tried using one of those trackers but it really didnt help. the notifications came 2 days later, which didnt' help at all.
* Continue with date nights once a week with Greg if we can spare it ....I'll give myself a B. We started out great but with marathon training, school, and the realization that we were spending way more $$ than we needed to, we cut back. But our quality time together has really increased throughout the year.
* Be more thoughtful about my actions and words I think I've been a lot better so I'll give myself an A-
* Try to be less selfish, more giving, and make a quiet impact in the world (or at least the bay area)....I think this deserves an A too. I've definitely been less selfish and more giving. I also think raising over $5k and running a marathon for LLS helped too. All in all a very worthy experience!!
Overall I'll give myself a B for 2008 resolutions. Not too bad! If I still don't get called into jury selection I'll make some for 2009.
