It's the most wonderful time of the year

No, not Christmas. And no not even the semi-annual sales at Nordstroms. It's Dine about Town time!! For those of you who haven't experienced it it's just like Restaurant Week in Boston. For a 3-course mea, you pay only $21.95 for lunch and $34.95 for dinner. The restaurants that are participating are usually a lot more expensive than this, so you really get a good deal!

I didn't take advantage when it came around during the summer time last year so I think I'm making up for it. Yesterday I ate lunch at Sutro's at the Cliff House, and I was just happy about the view alone. I got a window seat and spent my afternoon staring out the window at the crashing waves. Lucky too that yesterday was our last nice weather day. It started raining today :( Anyways, I had cream of broccoli soup with a yummy cheese profiterole in the middle of it. I also had steak frites which were so good but I couldn't finish. I had to eat lunch in a rush because of a meeting, so I took the rest home. But there was still dessert - banana pudding which was SO good - so by the time I left I was so full I almost had that "I'm so full I need to throw up" feeling, which is only reserved for Christmas at the G's.

Tomorrow I'm going to Oola with Sierra, and the next dinner will be either Rue st Jacques on Friday or Cassis on Sunday...all depends on my friend and reservations. Next Thursday I'm going to Lingba lounge with friends, just so Greg can come along too since it's Thai. There are still so many places I want to hit up, but my wallet and my pants size is only so small. I really want to try Jeanty at Jacks at some point, but only for the tomato soup and I think it's only on the DAT menu for lunch Mon-Friday. I'll just have to go back and try it on my own.

I love yummy food!
